The Benton Water System plans to construct a new two million gallon-per-day treatment plant and a 500,000 gallon elevated storage tank.  Relocation of water lines on Poplar Street is under way, with completion scheduled for summer 1997.  The total cost of all projects is approximately $3.5 million.
