In 2003, the Marshall County Fiscal Court started a full county supported animal shelter facility on the property of one of our animal wardens. Then in 2004, thanks to a grant from the Kentucky Department of Agriculture and the Kentucky Animal Control Advisory Board $51,000 was given to aid in building a top of the line facility. This facility provides a great place for animals to stay while they are being presented for adoption and also for our animal caregivers.
